Sustainability

Greener. Leaner. Cleaner.

Infusing sustainable design principles into projects – that’s what we do for our clients. The result is a better, more sustainable way to achieve successful project results. Our projects last for generations, and our approach to projects needs to be based on long-term thinking regarding the social and environmental impacts of these projects and their resilience to the impacts of a multitude of potential natural and man-made disasters.

Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System

Envision™ provides a framework to evaluate and rate the community, environmental, and economic benefits of all types and sizes of infrastructure projects. The use of Envision™  continues to grow across both the United States and Candida. It is becoming an industry standard for incorporating sustainable design principles and in recognizing sustainability efforts.

Not only do we have staff certified in the Envision™ system, Lamp Rynearson’s leadership members are spokespersons for the movement. President Nancy Pridal and Chairman of the Board Mike McMeekin have shared their enthusiasm for using the Envision™ system and its long-term benefits with audiences at the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) event and the Colorado Association of General Contractor’s Breakfast with the Board event, just to name a few!

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally recognized green building rating system. The LEED accredited civil engineers in our offices are experts in designing projects on proven frameworks to create healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. With an understanding of LEED requirements inside the building and the skills to impact sustainability surrounding it, the professionals at Lamp Rynearson hold the credentials critical to produce an environmentally friendly project.

Why do we subscribe to the Envision™ and LEED rating systems? Because when  these two key frameworks for sustainability are combined, the building owner, local community, and our environment benefit. If these certifications are not important to you, the Lamp Rynearson “green team” can still positively affect long-term maintenance and operational costs. And we’ll still help you save energy, water, resources, generate less waste, and support human health, while we’re at it!
